I think it’s safe to say the 2019 is the year of the comeback from Eddie Murphy. First it was the announcement of Coming To America 2, then we found out about the Netflix specials and now we’ve learned he is making his first return to “Saturday Night Live” since Dec. 1984  as a host for Season 45.

In addition to tapping all-time “SNL” great Eddie Murphy to host the final show of 2019 on Dec. 21, others making their way to 30 Rock for season 45 include: David Harbour, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, Kristen Stewart and Woody Harrelson (making his fourth hosting visit) will open the show’s season on Sept. 28 (11:30 EDT/8:30 PDT), with Billie Eilish as musical guest.
