The Morning HOG Brew Review welcomes Persimmon Hollow, Terrapin, Stone Brewing, & Sierra Nevada.

Josh from S.R. Perrott stopped by The Morning HOG Studio to pay Riggs & Steve a quaint visit. Josh brought a bunch of heavy-hitters today in the ABV category. First up at the plate is one from Persimmon Hollow called Southbound Hiker with 6.5% ABV. This New England style IPA is brewed with Mosaic, Lumberjack, & Cascade hops with refreshing notes of tangerine, orange marmalade, & spruce tips. Next up is Athen’s native brewery, Terrapin, with their Imperial Luau Krunkles sitting @ 9% ABV. Surfing a big wave is like brewing a big beer. This super tasty POG IPA rips with its four varieties of hops & the intense flavors of passion fruit, orange, & guava for an exhilarating ride you will never forget.

After a quick recess, the boys resumed the drinking with one of the hoppiest beers on the planet from Stone Brewing called Downunderstruck Double IPA with a hefty 9% ABV. Only in Australia can you find Galaxy, Ella, & Vic Secret hops; which lend striking tropical fruit, citrus, & peach flavors to this booming behemoth of an IPA. The aroma is amazing! Massively hoppy with exotic tropical fruit, peaches, citrus, & pineapple characters, balanced with a sturdy peppery-herbal dankness. And batting clean-up is one from Sierra Nevada called Atomic Torpedo. This imperial hop collision fuses West Coast & Juicy IPAs, unleashing atomic flavors of lush fruit, citrus, & sticky pine. First released as a Double IPA, we kicked Atomic Torpedo up from 8.2% to 9.2% ABV for bigger & bolder Imperial IPA intensity. Unfortunately, that’s gonna do it for this weeks Brew Review. We hope you enjoy these IPA variations as much as we did! And if you’d like to enjoy them in your hands, click here to find your nearest S.R. Perrott dealer. Crush your beers responsibly folks. Until next week…..Cheers!!
