Florida Warned By NWS: Falling Iguanas Possible

Cold temperatures are sweeping into Florida over the holiday which means it’s time again for Floridians to beware of falling iguanas.

Iguanas rest in the trees at night and when temps fall into the 40s (or below) they can become stiff and fall from the trees. They will look dead, gray and stiff, but they are not dead. Cold iguanas WILL reanimate when they warm up and you don’t want that to happen at the wrong time.
