The Morning HOG Brew Review presents: Hal’s New York

On today’s episode of The Morning HOG Brew Review, Riggs & Steve were joined by Josh & Jeremy from S.R. Perrott as well as Joe Galioto, Vice President of Sales at Hal’s New York. Hal’s has a fantastic line-up of nonalcoholic seltzers & kettle cooked chips, some of which were brought in today. The boys tried 3 of the most popular seltzer flavors: Original, Lime, & Black Cherry. They also had a variety of kettle cooked chips with flavors like Honey BBQ, Sweet Onion, Sea Salt & Vinegar, BBQ, Sweet Chili, Original Sea Salt, & Buffalo Ranch.

Enough about all the great food, let’s talk about how it all got started. Hal was born in 1940 & raised in Brooklyn while his parents worked in housekeeping & managed a deli to make ends meet. It was their tireless work that instilled a tenacious work ethic that defined the rest of Hal’s life. Hal got his start working in the beverage industry by spending long summers & bitter NY City winters “pounding the pavement”. Eventually, he built his name within the liquor industry which is where he earned his reputation for having a sharp eye & a dynamic personality. In 1986, he used his expertise to start his own company that would end up becoming one of the largest nonalcoholic beverage & snack distributors in the Northeast.
