The Brew Review presents: Blue Moon, Guinness, Lagunitas, & Samuel Adams.

Riggs & Steve from The Morning HOG were once again joined by Josh from S.R. Perrott for another week of dry January. On todays episode, we start off with one from Blue Moon called Non-Alcoholic Belgian White. At under .5% alcohol by volume with 80 calories, Blue Moon Non-Alcoholic Belgian White is light & refreshing & brewed with the same Valencia orange peel that’s made its namesake the No. 1 craft beer in America. The new brew will be the first non-alcoholic wheat brew from a major brewer in the market. Next up is world famous Guinness & their Non-Alcoholic Draught. To create Guinness 0.0 the St James’s Gate brewers start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method. The resulting product is a stout that is unmistakably Guinness, just without the alcohol, featuring the same dark, ruby red liquid & creamy head, hints of chocolate & coffee, smoothly balanced with bitter, sweet & roasted notes.

After the boys took a breather, they resumed the drinking. The third beer is from Lagunitas called IPNA. Dank-ish pine-y grippiness from the massive dry-hop of our favorite Yakima Valley hops—Citra, Mosaic & CTZ (Columbus, Tomahawk & Zeus) on a bed of English crystal malts for a smooth backbone & beautiful orange hue. A uniquely-full body & crazy-big hoppy aroma lends to IPNA’s satisfaction. And lastly, here comes one from Samuel Adams called Just The Haze. They remove the alcohol slow & gently, saving all the flavor for you resulting in an explosive, full bodied NA beer with hints of tangerine & lime along with pineapple & guava. Savvy IPA drinkers will recognize the use of Sabro, Citra, Mosaic, & Cascade hops. The grains are Samuel Adams Two-Row Pale Malt Blend, White Wheat, & Golden Naked Oats. Well folks, that’s gonna do it for this week. If you are curious as to where you can purchase any of these fine-tasting beverages, click this link here to locate your nearest S.R. Perrott dealer.
