Someone In Jacksonville Bought 100 Generators And Shipped Them To The Bahamas

A man walked into a Costco in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday and spent just shy of $50,000 to purchase much needed supplies to send to the Bahamas.

The man, who according to CNN wished to remain anonymous, purchased 100 generators and essential food items totalling $49,285.70.

All of it is going to those in need on the hard-hit islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco, he told CNN. “About 100 generators and a truck load of food and chainsaws are all going over by boat on Thursday to Marsh Harbour in The Bahamas. It’s terrible and I’m sure you’ve seen the photos. It’s important that we help each other out. It’s better than just sitting there,” he said. “You see a need and you fill it.”

How do we even know about this? Alec Sprague was there buying a generator and overheard people talking about it and posted the story to Facebook saying, “All I could do was shake his hand and thank him!”

Was just in Cosco off Collins getting a generator (at $450 each) and this guy right here is purchasing over 100…
