On today’s episode of the The Morning HOG Brew Review, Josh from S.R. Perrott brought in some super delicious seasonal drinks. The first 2 that the boys tried were from Abita & right off the bat they dove into the Christmas Ale, a brown ale brewed 6 types of malted barley. It’s also brewed with a combo of Caramel, Biscuit, Munich, & choc. malts for a flavorful brown ale that is sweet & malty. Next up by Abita is their Office Party; which is a holiday stout brewed with oats, pale, caramel, & choc. malts. Generous amounts of cocoa nibs, cinnamon, vanilla, & nutmeg are also added. After that, they broke into a seasonal beer by Sierra Nevada called Celebration. The freshest Cascade & Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest are picked & brewed immediately to capture citrus, pine, & floral notes at their absolute peak. The last drink that was opened was Christmas Ale by Anchor, a brewery from San Francisco. This is the 43rd annual production of this beer & it’s brewed every year with a different blend of spices. The rye-forward ale showcases notes of orange, honeysuckle, toasted malts, & eucalyptus & finishes with a touch of spice like the warming bitter-sweet notes of Amaro.
