The Attorney Generals office has activated the Price Gouging Hotline as of Tuesday due to the possibility of stores taking advantage of COVID-19
If you suspect any retail stores are raising prices on items such as masks, hand sanitizing supplies, cleaning supplies, or disinfecting wipes, you’re asked to call 1-(866)-9NO-SCAM, or 1-866-966-7226.
All of those things are considered essential commodities. According to the Attorney Generals office, ” a commodity is a good or service necessary for public consumption or use as a direct result of the particular facts and circumstances of the emergency.”
Again, if you suspect the prices of these items are being raised please call 1-(866)-9NO-SCAM, or 1-866-966-7226 and report it!
