Police keep getting calls about a Halloween display at the home of artist Stephen Novak in Dallas.

The Texas artist has had police visits over a gruesome Halloween display in his front yard featuring fake bodies and fake blood. Scenes depict one explosion of one dummy’s head, others have been stuffed into bloodied trash bags. Another is been pinned to the roof with what appears to be a machete through its head, oh, and the house is under zombie attack.

Novak told The Dallas Observer the display has brought police to the house multiple times, saying, “I was only home twice to receive them. They told me they thought it was cool and that they were only there because they were required to reply to complaints from the sergeant. “They were in formation at the door and when I opened it they asked me if it was all mine. I asked, ‘You mean the blood and the bodies? Yeah, that’s me.'”

“Honestly, though, I think I could’ve used more. [My plans] were way worse on paper. Next year though!”
