This may be the crappiest situation a person could ever find themself in.
Joann Mercader, 59, found herself at odds with her landlord over some broken items within her mobile home. The 65-year-old landlord had apparently made arrangement with Mercader to come over and check things out.
However, when the landlord knocked on the door, Mercader failed to answer. Since she received no response, the landlord decided to let herself into the mobile home, where she was met with a bucket full of human waste being thrown all over her.
911 was called to the scene, and one of the responding deputies noted in the police report that the landlord was “completely covered in feces that was dripping wet.”
After initially claiming that the victim had attacked her, Mercader eventually confessed that she meant to throw a bucket of water on the older woman, but got the buckets mixed up.
Mercader was arrested and taken to the Volusia County Jail on charges of felony battery on a person 65 years of age or older.
