HOA’s always have “rules” that they try to passive aggressively enforce by leaving you a letter and a couple Texas resident thinks they went too far this time.

Nick and Claudia Simonis received a letter from their HOA in regards to the Christmas decorations they put up. They put them up on November 1st. The letter stated that they needed to take them down until it was “Closer to the season”. Now, the letter DIDN’T say WHEN it was the appropriate time to put up decorations.

Nick said, “the policy is pretty vague”…  “We’re not going to do it.  It’s the Christmas spirit.  We’re not going to be forced by the HOA to take it down.”

The neighbors became aware of this and are now stating to decorate as a way to stand up to the HOA !
