Andrew “Dice” Clay says that his is the one who got Guns N’ Roses back together, after having separate conversations with Slash, Axl Rose, and Duff McKagan. Dice says he told Axl, “You’re playing for 3,000 people. I could do that. You need to put this back together.”

Dice told Loudwire it all started when he ran into Slash in Australia, and he told him, quote, “What’s wrong with you? What kind of argument did you guys have, decades ago, that you can’t put this back together? “You peaked rock and roll… and you had a fight?”

He also had separate conversations with Duff McKagan and Axl Rose. He spoke to Axl after a G’N’R show at the Hard Rock in Vegas and he told him, quote, “You’re playing for 3,000 people. I could do that. You need to put this back together.” In the meantime, Dice had also convinced Slash to start praising Axl on Twitter, which he did.

And it all came together. Soon after that, Dice heard on the radio that the band was getting back together. He says, quote, “I’m in my car going, ‘Yes, I did it!’ And I knew I did the job.”
