The Morning HOG Brew Review welcomes Lagunitas, Abita, & JDub’s.

Riggs & Steve from The Morning HOG once again welcomed Josh from S.R. Perrott for another super exciting episode of The Brew Review. The first beer we tried was one from Abita called Beeracuda with 5% ABV. Despite its ferocious behavior & appearance, Beeracuda is perfect to sip on when relaxing in or out of the water. This crisp Gulf Coast Cerveza will cool you off even on the hottest of days, so get ready to set the hook with this refreshing brew. Next up is an extravagant beverage from JDub’s called Bomb Berry Blueberry IPA. This full body IPA is bursting with blueberry flavor. Dry hopped with Mosaic & Hull Melon hops. The hops shine with undertones of tropical fruit. Crisp, balanced, refreshing. Steve said this one was his favorite!

After a short recess, The Brew Review rolled on over to NOLA to grab some Lagunitas. The first of two is one called Island Tropical Beats Tropical IPA. Juicy & light, not bitter. Island Beats flows with citrus flavors tasting like freshly-squeezed pineapples, mango, and passion fruit—only they’re all notes carried just by hops. It’s got all of the fruit, with none of the fruit. Finally, we have the second one from Lagunitas with a highly potent concoction called Tiki Fusion Zombie. A forewarning for your senses: This 10% ABV exotic fusion of flavors has been crafted to conjure cocktailian notes of orange juice, fresh lime, grapefruit, & allspice; and brewed without summoning any (liquor) spirits. Our homage to the original Zombie & tiki movement, both created in our home state of California. Okie doke artichokes, that’ll wrap up this weeks Brew Review.
