Home Sales Hold Steady Through October

Daytona Beach, FL – New data analyzing the real estate market around Daytona shows that sales hold pretty steady throughout the month of October.

That data came from the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service, which reported that 420 single-family homes were sold in the Daytona Beach area with a median sales price of $255,500.

That’s a nominal 1% lower than September’s numbers and about 2% lower than the same month last year. Year-to-date, the total number of homes sold sits slightly above sales totals from the first 10 months of 2018. Sales volume is also up 8.6% compared to the first 10 months of 2018.

“It’s great to see the fourth quarter off to a strong start,” said Ron Wysocarski, Broker and CEO of Wyse Home Team Realty in Port Orange.

Inventory rose slightly in October but remained below the 2,481 homes available in October of last year. YTD, the inventory of single-family homes listed on the MLS is up by just 1.5% over the first 10 months of 2018.
